Dr. Sarah Raymond
Dr. Sarah Raymond has been a Frederick County resident since 1997. She moved here after completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland College Park. She continued her education in Maryland, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
Dr. Raymond is passionate about making strong connections with her patients, and she truly loves what she does. She's been in the dental field since 1994, starting at the front desk in high school and working as a dental assistant for many years before graduating and becoming a dentist in 2010. She took over the practice in 2018 and carries on Dr. Ronald McCurdy's long legacy of providing exceptional dental care to the community.
Holding herself to the highest standard of patient care, Dr. Raymond is a fully certified BioClear-trained dentist, which is a level of care only obtained by a small majority of dentists. She is also actively pursuing the distinction of Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, an honor most dentists never achieve in the course of their practice.
She's also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, a founding member of Mommy Dentists in Business, a member of the Seattle Study Club, and participates in several local dental clubs and societies with a focus on furthering dental knowledge and care for the people of Frederick County, Maryland.
Dr. Raymond is a certified myofunctional therapist, and while in dental school, she was honored to be a recipient of the periodontal clerkship, allowing her to gain experience in advanced periodontal surgery techniques. She has also earned the distinction as a recipient of the nationally recognized Albert Schweitzer Fellowship.
When she's not caring for patients, Dr. Raymond loves to take continuing education courses, knitting, baking, reading, and being a soccer mom to her son, William. A fun fact people may not know about Dr. Raymond is that she has a bunny named Herschel!
Best experience I have ever had with a dentist. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. The dental hygienist put me completely at easy and was always concerned with my comfort and any pain I might have. The dentist answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. I would recommend this dental office to everyone.
